Although there are several textile design systems, Optitex is considered one of the most complete and updated. The textile industry is very important in many countries around the world, so most of the students who have studied with us are working in different companies both here and abroad.
We are currently offering the "Optitex Operator Online Course", which is the distance learning modality. It is developed in two modules: PDS module and MARKER module, and the student can choose to take them separately or together.
It is intended for textile operators with previous knowledge in pattern design, in the PDS module, and in marker making, in the MARKER module.
The student will learn the basic and intermediate tools of the program. From the basics, such as indicating the names and quantities of the pieces, the orientation of the thread, the use of tools for possible reforms of models and their subsequent size progression, to setting up an order to develop automatic or manual markers, in case required.
The Optitex operator course is 100% online. Students have access to video lessons, which last between 10 and 15 minutes. There is downloadable material and a demo version of the system so that you can follow each step of the course. At the end of each module, the operator completes a quiz to test the knowledge acquired, and then obtains a digital certificate for having passed the exam.
In this course you will learn how to create a piece from scratch, without using a digitizing system. Then you will be able to use the grading tools to create the number of sizes you need. In addition, you will have access to a set of very useful tools to reform patterns with which you will be able to create new designs from those already created: lengthen or shorten them, create new pieces, and apply seams, among other things. At the end of this module, you will be able to take the "MARKER" module to learn how to develop intelligent automatic markers.
The student learns how to develop a marker from scratch: the width of the fabric, the patterns, and the number of sizes to be marked. Subsequently the student will learn the tools of marker making, both manual and automatic.
You can opt for the "PDS + MARKER COMBO", where the student will be able to take the complete course at a promotional price, and acquire the necessary skills both for developing patterns and handling markers.

PDS — Creation of patterns for markers

Among other things, in this course we will learn from how to create a pattern in the system from scratch (if we do not have a digitizer), to handling the grading tools which will allow us to create as many sizes as we wish. We will also see a set of tools that will be very useful to reform our patterns and thus create new designs (lengthen, shorten, create new pieces, apply seams, etc.). At the end of this PDS module, we will be able to start with the "MARKER" module, where we will be able to develop intelligent automatic markers.

MARKER — Manual and intelligent automatic marker making

In this basic operator course (Marker module) we will learn, among other things, how to create (develop) a cut order from scratch according to the width of the fabric, the models and the number of sizes to be marked. Then we will learn the tools to develop a marker both "manually" and automatically. We will also be able to develop markers for simple, tubular and facing layout. In the case of plaid fabric, we will see how to lay out the molds (front and other patterns the model may require), so that the squares or horizontal stripes match accordingly. Finally, we will be able to set up bundles (grouping and ungrouping pieces).

In this modality we will learn in a comprehensive way all the processes that make up the development of a garment, from how to create a pattern in the system to developing markers for simple, tubular and facing layout.
